MINISTRIES OVERVIEW
Mercy Christian School was founded by Prof. Dr. Chansamone Saiyasak in response to the educational disparities faced by children in rural Thai society. Recognizing that many children in these areas suffer from family and economic problems that hinder their access to quality education and personal development, Dr. Saiyasak established the school in 2004 with the mission to bridge this gap. Located in Ubon Ratchathani Province, the school provides education from kindergarten to high school levels.
We are committed to not only academic excellence but also to making Christ known. Through our curriculum and daily activities, we strive to instill Christian values and principles, ensuring that Christ's love permeates every aspect of students' lives. The school is dedicated to teaching ethics and morality based on Christian principles, aiming to support underprivileged children by developing their skills and creativity. The ultimate goal is to foster comprehensive growth physically, emotionally, socially, and intellectually; preparing children to become knowledgeable and disciplined individuals ready for further education.
We are situated in a rural area of Ubon Ratchathani Province, Thailand. The community around the school is marked by economic challenges and limited access to educational resources. Many families in this region face significant obstacles that prevent their children from receiving effective education and training. Despite the presence of educational institutions, these barriers often include financial hardships and lack of infrastructure, which contribute to the children’s underdevelopment in essential skills and creative abilities. The community's needs highlight the importance of our mission to provide a Gospel-centered, supportive and enriching environment for these children, helping them overcome these challenges, achieve their full potential, and grow in their understanding of Christ.
