This session will examine honor shame cultures and their different facets from the biblical and social perspectives. The learning and discussion from this session will benefit those who seek to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ effectively to people living in honor shame cultures.

Alvin Tey

Alvin Tey serves in Operation Mobilisation (OM), where he leads the People and Organizational Development team in OM East Asia. He is also a resident faculty member teaching intercultural studies at the East Asia School of Theology (Singapore). Alvin has served in community transformational development ministries in the Mekong region and India.
Alvin has a PhD in Intercultural Studies with Biola University (USA), a Master of Christian Studies from the Biblical Graduate School of Theology (Singapore), and a BSc in Government & Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (UK). He is married to Kalene, and they have three children.
